  • Water & Wind resistant fabric. The Tempest fabric is wind-resistant and water-resistant. This protection is a characteristic of the material itself, not a treatment that will wash out with time. So no need to re-treat your jersey in the future; your jersey will remain consistently awesome.
  • Perfect 3 season riding. The fabric has excellent weather-resistant qualities and is still very breathable, giving superb performance in a wide range of cooler temperatures (from 6-16°c).
  • Pixel 100 Reflective Rear Pockets. For riding in deteriorating light or gloomy conditions we have created the Orkaan Everyday Jersey with "pixel 100" reflective back pockets. These become super reflective when met with headlights. Bright, punchy colours create a jersey that is equally stylish and safe during daylight hours.
  • Super soft brushed "roubaix" lining. Luxuriously soft on the skin, the inner lining will keep you snug whilst racking up the miles.
  • Full-length YKK cam-lock zipper. You only notice a zip when it's bad. We exclusively use zips from YKK, the global leader in zip technology. These open and close easily with one hand and lock in place when pushed down.
  • Neckline zip protector. No matter how great the zip is, if it rubs against your neck all day long, it’s annoying! A small zip garage at the neck takes care of that.
  • An extra zipped stash pocket. Just like our summer jerseys, these come loaded with an extra zipped water-resistant pocket for maximum protection and flexibility.
  • Heat transfer neck labels. Nobody wants a scratchy neck label so we use flat heat transfers instead of sewn-in labels. Nothing to stick out or irritate.
  • All day performance fit. Our Orkaan jersey has a less aggressive cut than our Orkaan RaceTech jersey. The fit is based on our popular Bodyline range. Ideal in any situation, from commuting to weekend warrior action.

    Short Version
    Don’t think you will get better strongly recommended

    Used about 10 times probably 2-300 miles for commuting, road trips and a couple of off road [ mountain bike and “gravel”] so tested in all conditions
    Fit -not fully skin tight but not actually loose roadie style so tight but not base layer tight [ small at 62kg and 5 ft 9 is perfect fit ]
    Weather wise I have ridden in perma drizzle for 3 hours that had a bit of snow and hail, short sharp showers and general rain and I have not been wet yet. Not been out in a biblical downpour but would not be worried on how its been so far. Also its stays warm when wet which is a big plus
    Wind – it is wind proof but if you are near the temp limit and its high wind you will feel cold on the side being hit by the wind- to be fair to the jersey it was probably 5 degrees [ without the wind chill]450 m high and an exposed moorland hill and 30-40 mph wind and I was only wearing a skinny base layer and a summer weight top so was probably underdressed for this temp. Much more than the 15 mins I did and I would have wanted more clothing.
    Temp only used about 3 – 10 degrees as its been cold so far-I have been riding with a thin base layer and a summer weight top [ not high summer but thin] and been fine but very near the limit of the jersey. I think with a proper thick jersey or base layer i would be fine down to zero[ on the road but probably not actual Mountain biking] YMMV
    Breathability – just like wearing a normal jersey and no sweat build up – please note the temps i have tested it at but nothing else I own would be this non sweaty with this level of weatherproofing
    I liked it so much I bought another [ and some bibs] and hope it will be fine for poor weather for early and late winter through to late spring /early autumn depending on layering.
    My only moan are the zip, when fully zipped up, its in the Neckline zip protector and you need to take a glove of to undo as you cannot grip , I added a bit of paracord to avoid this and think they should.
    Zipped waterpoof pocket is not big enough for a phone
    Well done for making it to the end its a bear perfect jersey/jacket ;-)

  • If your hips are wider than your chest, please follow the measurements of your hips.
