Everyday rides. The Ibex Everyday SS Jersey is our all-rounder: 4-way stretch fabric in a close but forgiving fit, three rear pockets plus a zipped fourth for keys and cards, and a silicone waist gripper so it doesn’t ride up. It’s happiest from about 12 to 22°C.

Hot days and fast rides. The Kalahari Advanced SS Jersey is our lightest, most breathable jersey, with aero sleeves, a lower neckline and a closer fit. Reach for it when it’s 18°C and up.

Cooler months. Our Thermal LS Jerseys have a soft, brushed roubaix-style lining for three-season riding. The Ibex Everyday LS Jersey gives you our all-rounder fit with long sleeves, for cool mornings that don’t need a thermal.

Gravel and commuting. Our gravel jerseys have a more casual cut, a half zip and anti-odour fabric, so one jersey does the ride in and the ride home.

How should a men’s cycling jersey fit?

Closer than a T-shirt, so it doesn’t flap in the wind and the pockets don’t sag, but never so tight it restricts your breathing. Measure your chest and check the size chart on each jersey. Our Everyday jerseys have a more forgiving cut, while the Kalahari is a close fit: if you’re between sizes, go up one.

Should I get a short sleeve or long sleeve cycling jersey?

Short sleeve covers most rides from spring to early autumn. When it drops below about 12°C, a thermal long sleeve jersey keeps your arms warm without the bulk of a jacket. In between, cycling arm warmers turn a short sleeve jersey into a long sleeve one and come off when the sun comes out.

What do you wear under a cycling jersey?

A base layer. On warm days a mesh base layer helps move sweat away from your skin, and in winter a long sleeve base layer adds warmth under a thermal jersey. See our men’s cycling base layers.

Why do cycling jerseys have pockets on the back?

Because that’s where you can reach them on the move, and they don’t bounce around when you’re leaning over the bars. Most of our jerseys have three rear pockets for food, a pump and a spare layer, plus a zipped pocket for keys, cards and cash.

Is a cycling jersey worth it over a T-shirt?

For anything longer than a quick spin, yes. Jersey fabric wicks sweat and dries fast instead of hanging wet and cold, a full-length zip lets you cool off on the climbs, and the waist gripper and rear pockets mean no riding up and no rucksack.
