The Paralympics have finally started and here at Stolen Goat HQ, we’re very excited to get stuck into all the sporting action. There’s nothing quite like watching the pros give it their all to make you want to get out and get active.

We’ll be glued to our screens this weekend as Stolen Goat Brand Ambassador Melissa Reid represents Paralympics GB, competing in the PTVI paratriathlon race with her guide Hazel Macleod. Melissa won bronze at the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games and had a fantastic season in 2019 with several podium finishes on the ITU circuit – including a silver medal at the World Triathlon Grand Final in Lausanne.

2021 has seen Melissa off to a very strong start, recently securing 4th place at the 2021 World Para Triathlon Series race in Leeds and winning the 2021 GBR Paratriathlon National Championships last month. After getting some seriously cool insights into her training over on her Instagram we’re really looking forward to seeing her compete in Tokyo.

Check out her interview with British Triathlon to hear all about the Paratriathlon squad’s preparations at their holding camp in Miyazaki, and how Melissa and Hazel are feeling ahead of the race.

Good luck Melissa, you’ve got the whole of The Herd rooting for you!
