Brighton Climbing Technique Weekend Camp

Develop your cycling climbing technique with this confidence-boosting weekend in Brighton. Suitable for all levels of cyclist, this unique weekend cycling camp delivers expert-led guidance on climbing gear selection, how to pace yourself and how to find your personal ideal climbing cadence.
Rest assured, this weekend certainly isn’t a smash-fest! Designed to make you, rather than break you, the rides are very easy paced in the valleys and once you hit the hills it’s all about taking them at your own pace. There’s plenty of rest between climbs to ask questions and get useful feedback and coaching tips. And of course, there’ll be plenty of coffee and cake to fuel your efforts!
Alongside three coached bike rides, you’ll also get a custom Stolen Goat cycling jersey and a cycling strength and conditioning seminar with Leonie that will help you to build your strength and resilience off the bike, as well as on it. Back for another year, Josh and Leonie are excited to offer another women’s-specific cycling trip to the French Pyrenees. The Women’s Cols Week trip is all about helping you to conquer famous cycling climbs, while enjoying off-the-bike adventures and making friendships (and memories) to last a lifetime, with a group of likeminded women.
To help you prepare for the trip, you’ll receive a cycling and a strength training programme so you arrive feeling ready to rock and roll. During the week-long adventure, you’ll have all the support and expertise you need to help you take on some truly iconic climbs.

Meet your coaches: Josh Brandwene and Leonie Lawmon
Josh Brandwene
Founder of Climb with Josh, Josh Brandwene is a UESCA licensed cycling coach with a degree in Kinesiology. Offering 1-1 online cycling coaching alongside coached cycling holiday, Josh currently works with athletes from 7 different countries. Josh has summitted over a dozen of the famous Pyrenean cols, so it’s safe to say he knows more than a thing on two on how to take on the big cycling climbs! Check out his tips on improving your climbing and boosting your cycling endurance.
Leonie Lawmon
Leonie is a strength coach and founder of Pink Trainers PT, working with active women to help them build strength for all their adventures. Starting her own journey with a pair of pink trainers, jog-walking 5kms – Leonie is now an ultra-marathon runner, long distance cyclist (including LEJOG), triathlete, open water swimmer and powerlifter with an incredible passion for helping women to do more of what they love.
