Aside from the fact we get to talk about cycling and other adventures all the live long day, and create the kit we want to be riding in season after season… one of our favourite things about Stolen Goat is the community that’s formed around us over the years. We’ve been running this slightly mad goat-themed show since 2012, and the love and support that you Goats show us never ceases to blow us away!
We feel incredibly lucky to have some wonderful brand ambassadors within that community who help us to spread the goaty goodness and inspire us with their adventures. Chances are you’ve seen them on our social feeds already. But we figured it’s about time we started to introduce them properly. So, over the coming months we’ll be spotlighting some of our brand ambassadors right here on the SG blog and getting them to share some of their own top tips, favourite routes and plenty more. So stay tuned!
For now though, we’ll stop bleating on and hand you over to SG Brand Ambassador Stu, aka GBScotland!

I’m all about encouraging people to “get on a bike”, no matter their level. Cycling should feel inclusive, adventurous, and fun. I’ve got some exciting rides and content planned this year, and I’m looking forward to sharing the journey with the SG Herd.
How did you get into cycling?
I got into cycling a few years ago as a way to clear my head, improve my fitness, and just get outdoors more. What started as a way to escape the noise of everyday life quickly turned into something much bigger: a passion for adventure, storytelling, and connecting with others through bikes.
What type of riding do you do?
I love long endurance rides, social spins… anything that involves connecting with people! I ride a mix of road, gravel and pretty much everything in between. But gravel cycling and adventure riding is my favourite way to explore. There’s something special about heading off the beaten path, discovering hidden places and not quite knowing what’s around the corner.
What do you love about cycling?
For me, it’s the combination of freedom, community, and discovery. Cycling gives you a chance to slow things down and really see where you are. It’s also brought incredible people into my life, whether that’s through local rides, events, or the online community. That shared connection keeps me coming back every time.
We’re on a café ride, what are you ordering!?
Americano with milk and a well earned sausage roll. Preferably from a proper local spot you’d never find unless you were on a bike!
Let’s talk adventures: what’s been your favourite bike ride to date?
Without a doubt, my favourite ride to date has to be The Rift in Iceland in 2024. It was one of those experiences that goes far beyond just a bike ride. The landscape was like nothing I’ve ever seen before: raw, rugged, and almost otherworldly. There’s endless gravel, volcanic terrain, and views that constantly stop you in your tracks.
But what really made it special was the people and the shared sense of adventure. Everyone was there for the same reason: to push themselves, explore, and embrace the unknown. It had this incredible atmosphere where complete strangers quickly felt like part of the same journey.
It wasn’t just a ride, it was an experience, one that reminded me exactly why I love cycling and why I am going back this year.
What would your ultimate bucket list cycling adventure look like?
A multi-day adventure somewhere remote, big landscapes, minimal signal, and just the essentials packed on the bike. Something like Iceland or a long-distance Scottish route where it’s just you, the road (or trail), and the elements. I have yet to bike pack, but it’s up there on my things to do.
What’s your proudest cycling moment so far?
My proudest achievement in cycling is completing LEJOG (Land’s End to John o’ Groats) unsupported over 10 days across the UK, raising money for the National Autistic Society after my wife was diagnosed with autism in 2023.
It was, without a doubt, the hardest and most emotional experience I’ve ever had on a bike (so far). Physically it pushed me to my limits, but mentally it meant even more. Every mile had purpose behind it.
There were tough moments, long days, and times where I really had to dig deep, but knowing why I was doing it kept me moving forward. It’s something I’ll carry with me forever.
If you could share one top tip with a new cyclist, what would it be?
Don’t compare yourself to anyone else. Just get out, enjoy the ride, and be consistent. The fitness, confidence, and speed will come. The most important thing is enjoying it.
A huge thank you to Stu for sharing! Be sure to follow him on Instagram. Stu’s got some pretty epic-sounding adventures on the to-do list this year so stay tuned because we’ll be tapping him up for more tips and insights soon!
