Gift ideas for every cyclist
Whether they’re new to cycling or a seasoned two-wheel adventurer, these gifts are going to be a winner with every type of cyclist.

Cycling kit
A tail wind, being first in line at the mid-ride coffee stop and new kit day: three things guaranteed to bring every cyclist joy!
Winter cycling gear
If the cyclist in your life tends to ride outdoors all year round, you can’t go wrong with some new winter cycling kit. Think a good winter cycling jacket, some cosy full-length bib tights or a toasty base layer to keep them warm and dry on all their deep winter rides.
Jerseys and bib shorts
If they’re more of a fair weather rider (hey, no judgement here!) then a new cycling jersey or a pair of comfy bib shorts (our Everyday bib shorts have gone down a storm with the SG Herd) to get them excited for those first spring rides will go down a treat.
Winter cycling gloves
Here at Stolen Goat, our winter cycling gloves sell out faster than a warm mince pie on a cold winter’s day. That’s because every cyclist needs a decent pair of winter gloves in their life! We’ve constructed ours to be warm and weatherproof, while remaining lightweight which means many of the SG Herd end up wearing theirs for running, dog walking and pretty much any other outdoor activity you can think of.
Cycling socks
It’s the rule that everyone has to get at least one pair of socks in their Christmas stocking, right!? But we all know that some new cycling socks trump boring old regular socks every time.
Give the gift of a new adventure: why a cycling event entry might be the perfect gift for cyclists
Cyclist in your life got more cycling kit than regular clothes? Why not consider something a bit different and gift them an entry to an event for 2026 instead! It’s the perfect way to give them that extra bit of winter training motivation… and probably an excuse for some new kit while they’re at it. Sorry about that.

There are plenty of cycling events to choose from, and what’s suitable will depend on their experience level and time available to train. But for inspiration, we’d recommend checking out our friends over at UK Cycling Events who have a huge range of awesome-sounding sportives on the 2026 calendar to suit all abilities. Or if they fancy an epic challenge, look no further than Chase the Sun, a sunrise to sunset ride which takes place annually in four different locations on the longest day of the year.
Cycling gifts for techy types, gadget lovers and data nerds
You can’t go wrong with a new gadget. And for most of us cyclists, the only thing we enjoy more than getting out on our bike is sitting around for an hour or two post-ride scrolling through our cycling stats. If the rider in your life is a techy type or a data nerd, here’s what we’d recommend to keep them busy!
GPS bike computer
A bike computer isn’t just about helping cyclists to see how fast or how they’ve gone (though they are handy for that). These days, the best bike computers come loaded with handy features like route planning and turn by turn navigation. Giving the cyclist in your life the freedom to adventure more… without worrying that they’ll get lost and have to start a new life out in the wild. There’s a huge range of bike computers out there for every budget. From the more premium Garmin devices, to the slightly more budget friendly Wahoo and Coros options. We’ve recently been using the Wahoo ELEMNT Bolt 3 which is small enough to use for racing, but has superb battery life and comprehensive navigation to help even the most directionally challenged of goats find their way home.
Electric tyre inflator
No more sweating it out trying to inflate tyres on the roadside with a mini pump. No more squeezing a bulky track pump into your luggage every time you head off on a cycling adventure. An electric tyre inflator might sound a bit boring… but trust us, it’ll soon become one of those ‘how did I live without this!?’ gadgets that will get you an endless supply of brownie points with your resident cyclist. There’s quite a few options out there these days, including from the likes of Trek and Muc-Off, but the Cycplus AS2 Pro regularly features atop the best electric tyre inflator round up articles.
TrainingPeaks Premium annual membership
For cyclists training for a specific event or looking to level up their performance, having access to TrainingPeaks Premium to plan their training and track their progress can be a game-changer. The platform gives users a measure of their current fitness and fatigue, helping them to balance their training to make progress without getting injured.
You can gift a membership by purchasing an e-Gift card. Just be prepared to hear all about their fitness and form scores on a weekly basis!
Strava Premium subscription
Another one for the data nerds, a Strava Premium subscription unlocks extra features in the app that allows riders to really dial down into their training stats. But what’s really useful is the Strava route planning feature, which takes heat maps from other users to give you a huge range of suggested routes – particularly handy when travelling or searching for new places to ride.
Wearable fitness tech
Train hard, recover harder. This is another one of those things that you might end up regretting when your loved one is giving you a daily update on their sleep score every single morning. But wellbeing wearables like Oura ring and Whoop can be a really useful tool for cyclists and other athletes to get a better picture of their overall health. By tracking things like resting heart rate, stress, heart rate variability and sleep quality, users can keep an eye on how they’re adapting and recovering from their training efforts. Helping them to make smart choices and reduce the likelihood of training-related burn out or injury.
Christmas gifts for indoor cyclists
Does your cyclist disappear into the garage as the first leaf falls and stay there until spring? This section is for you! Indoor cycling has become a cycling discipline in its own right, with plenty of riders using it to supplement their training all year round, escape the elements through the winter months… and even race against other cyclists from all around the world. Riding indoors might sound boring, but it can actually be rather fun.
Virtual cycling app membership
Platforms like Zwift and Rouvy are leading the way for indoor riding, though TrainingPeaks Virtual is also gaining popularity. Zwift gamifies indoor riding, with off-the-wall virtual worlds and Mario Kart style power ups. It’s the ultimate in cycling escapism, and once you throw Zwift racing into the mix it gets pretty addictive. Rouvy is more on the reality side of virtual reality, with recordings of real routes from all around the world transformed into engaging, augmented reality versions. The latter can be quite useful for training for a specific route or race.
If the cyclist in your life has been struggling to get out on their bike, gifting them an indoor cycling app membership might help them to stay motivated and keep riding through the winter months.
Turbo trainer or smart bike
This definitely falls under the ‘main present’ banner. But if you’ve had a word with Santa Claus, and the rider in your life has been extra good this year then treating them to a new turbo trainer or smart bike can level up their indoor riding experience.
A direct drive, smart turbo trainer means they can ride their own bike – ideal if they prefer to keep riding in their outdoor bike position, but it can be a bit of a faff if they’re still riding outdoors as they’ll have to take the bike on and off the turbo trainer. The Wahoo KICKR and Garmin Tacx direct drive trainers are both great options. A smart bike (such as the Zwift Ride) can be a great alternative as this can be left set up all year round. It’s also easy to change the saddle height and reach so more than one rider can make use of it!
Gifts for the wannabe bike mechanic and the rider who cleans their bike more often than their underpants
You know the ones we mean. They get back from a ride and prioritise getting their trusty steed sparkling clean, while spending several hours strolling around in their stinky kit. Or they’re constantly out in the garage tinkering, with a permanent smear of chain grease on every pair of jeans they own. You can’t change them… but you can gift them a few bits of kit that will make their life that bit easier!
Bike pressure washer
This is a particularly useful gift for cyclists who ride off road. A pressure washer will make getting all the muck, grime and gravel off their bike post-ride an absolute breeze.
Bicycle cleaning kit
Think of it as the equivalent of getting them a spa day for their bike. Bike cleaning kits come with everything they’ll need to keep their steed looking shiny and new.
Bicycle maintenance stand
A bike maintenance stand makes everything from cleaning to adjusting gear cable tension 100 times easier. There are loads of different options out there, but we’d recommend something heavy duty like Park Tool’s bike maintenance stand – it’ll last for years.
Cycling stocking fillers and last minute Christmas gifts for cyclists
And finally, the stocking fillers and last minute gift options! Whether you’ve drawn the office cyclist in this year’s Secret Santa. Or you’ve got pretty much all your Christmas gifting wrapped up and you’re looking for those last extra bits. Here’s our top recommendations:
Cycling accessories
We’ve already mentioned the classics, cycling socks and gloves. But when it comes to stocking fillers you definitely can’t go wrong with cycling accessories! Think caps, neck warmers, arm warmers or even one of our much-loved adventure caddies – here to keep all the essentials safe, dry and handy.
Cycling décor and homeware
For most riders, cycling isn’t just a hobby it’s a lifestyle. If you’re stuck for gift ideas, things like a poster of their favourite iconic climb or a cycling-themed mug (so they can make sure everyone knows they’d probably rather be out on two wheels) will always go down a treat.
Cycling books
Keep them occupied on a rest day with a new cycling book to while away the hours until they get back in the saddle. Book choices can be hugely personal, but a few we’ve enjoyed over the last couple of years include Coffee First, Then the World by Jenny Graham, Climb by Cyclist (for a bit of bucket list inspiration) and Revolutions: How Women Changed the World on Two Wheels by Hannah Ross.
“Help! I’ve left it too late to order anything!” – Your last minute saviour
The holiday season is hectic, and we’ve all had that last minute panic when we realise we’ve missed the last postage dates and even if we could face navigating the borderline feral crowds of shoppers that make the high street feel like The Hunger Games… we’d probably end up panicking and coming home with something weird.
That’s why we offer virtual gift cards here at Stolen Goat. Nothing says ‘I care’ like letting someone pick something they actually want rather than forcing them to act like they’re not mildly confused by that novelty soap-on-a-rope you’ve just given them.
