Joov CBD Cooling Muscle Recovery Spray // Facts & Features Explained //
A couple of weeks ago, Stolen Goat added Joov CBD Cooling Muscle Recovery Spray to the website. This muscle spray contains 100% natural ingredients including Cannabidiol (CBD) and is designed to help with aches and pains. But what actually is CBD? and how can it help you?… Let’s hear it from the man himself – Tom Johnson Founder & Director of Joov.
Below are some questions we asked Tom about Joov CBD Cooling Muscle Spray:
What is Joov CBD Muscle Spray?
Joov CBD Muscle Recovery Spray is a topical, cooling muscle spray with the added boost of containing CBD! Which studies show has some pretty amazing benefits when it comes to inflammation and recovery.
What ingredients are in Joov CBD?
MCT Oil, Vitamin E Oil, Menthol, Peppermint extract, Eucalyptus extract, CBD isolate.
What is CBD?
CBD stands for Cannabidiol. It is the second most prevalent active ingredients of hemp plant & is non-psychoactive – so it will not get you ‘high’.
How does CBD affect the body?
I am not a scientist as you might suspect, I have however done a lot of research on the topic. I’d rather give some evidence from websites instead.
The body produces endocannabinoids, which are neurotransmitters that bind to cannabinoid receptors in your nervous system. Studies have shown that CBD may help reduce chronic pain by impacting endocannabinoid receptor activity, reducing inflammation and interacting with neurotransmitters.

Can you get ‘high’ from Joov CBD?
You can not get high from CBD. The psychoactive compound of the hemp plant that gets you ‘high’ is the THC. Nobody wants to get high when they’re on a long ride! If you want to get high, you’ve got to go to Holland!
How do you apply Joov CBD spray?
Spray Joov CBD directly onto the desired area – eg. aching hamstring/Quads and rub in until the formula has soaked in nicely. Then simply relax and let the CBD do its thing!
What is the difference between Joov warm-up and Joov CBD cooling?
There are a few differences. Our original spray has a different carrier oil – Sweet Almond oil as opposed to MCT oil. We found the MCT oil mixed with the CBD more efficiently. Our original spray also contains Juniper, Clove & wintergreen which is not included in our CBD spray. This is because we wanted to keep away any ‘warming’ ingredients as the CBD ‘cooling’ is primarily used for recovery AFTER exercise. We found after testing the formulas, the CBD spray worked, felt & smelt better without these oils. And of course, our original spray does not contain CBD.
Why does Joov CBD cost 3x more than Joov warm-up?
Simple answer… CBD IS EXPENSIVE! We realise it’s a fairly big price increase but unfortunately, there is no way around it. A lot of our customers have been asking us for a CBD product for a while now so we knew there was a demand. Our CBD spray contains 500mg of CBD, and at £36.99 for a 100ml spray, it is very competitively priced for a CBD product of that spec.
What ml bottle size?
100ml bottle – which contains 500mg of CBD.
Where is it made?
Manufactured in the UK
How many times a day can you use Joov CBD?
Up to 3 times per day
How many uses do you get from one bottle?
That of course depends on how much you are using. To give an example, I ride on average 3x a week and use the CBD spray on my quads and hamstrings after each ride. I have done that for about 6 weeks and still have at least a quarter of a bottle left.
Does it have a shelf life?
It does indeed – 2 years.
If you are currently using other CBD products, can you use Joov CBD as
Yes, you can, within reason. You don’t want to overdo it but used alongside regular doses of CBD drops, or other CBD edibles would be fine.
