27th October 2016 – Orkaan jersey review by cycling weekly

The Orkaan has plenty of tricks up it’s sleeves – Paul Norman (reviewer) – Orkaan jersey review by cycling weekly

The Orkaan long sleeved jersey in blue, was reviewed by Paul Norman of Cycling Weekly and features in this week’s magazine. Make sure to keep an eye out! It’s a nice, short, informative piece scoring us a 9 out of 10 for our waterproof jersey.

In the review, he explained that the cost may seem expensive for a ‘winter jersey’ but it has “plenty of tricks up it’s sleeves”. He commented that the weight of the jersey is lighter than many winter race jackets and how it’s fleece lining “provides plenty of warmth for cooler rides”.

Also the fact that it’s made from a waterproof fabric instead of having a waterproof surface treatment applied. This means the waterproofing in our jersey can’t be washed out! Paul was impressed with the reflectivity on our pockets. They’re made from a pixelated fabric, producing a ” very wide expanse of reflectives, right across the back”. Read more about the reflectivity here!

We agree the score of 9 out of 10 is fair and believe the reason why we didn’t score 10 out of 10 was because of the pockets being open (like most jerseys), meaning your gels and phone (if not stored in our 4th waterproof zipped pocket) could potentially get wet.

Overall we are very happy with the Orkaan jersey review by cycling weekly, and if you need a good waterproof jersey, look no further!
