In 1996 a new cycling team based in Italy was formed exclusively around the legendary Marco Pantani. Sponsored by Mercatone Uno and riding Bianchi bikes; the team was formed in the same manner as the Bianchi Cycling Team was in the mid 1940s in the sense that no sprinter was signed. This made the team objectives clear – one man was to be the leader and the rest would support.

The Bianchi Cycling Team was built around the legendary Fausto Coppi,  the Mercatone Uno Team was built around the equally fierce Marco Pantini. Pantini was one of only seven riders to win the Giro d’Italia and Le Tour de France in the same season (1998).

This Italian made Musette is a food bag from this historic generation and comes from the actual team. Perfect for carrying small items including an iPad or similar sized laptop. Popper on top to ensure safe transportation.
